Smith - Jesse Davis

Mrs. Jesse Smith, wife of [William] Lambert Smith, died at her home, near Lapland, last Tuesday evening at 2 o'clock of the dread disease, consumption. Jessie Smith was thirty-six years old and the mother of four children, three of whom died when very small, the other one being left a motherless cripple. Jesie was the youngest daughter of Thompson Davis, deceased. Her funeral was preached by Rev. Joel Ridge, of Ladoga. Internment at the Masonic cemetery Thursday. This is Lambert Smith's second wife and four shildren that he has laid in the grave.
